The annual book fair in Cape Town is back with a new name South African Book Fair. This is the largest book fair in SA and is a great opportunity for publishers, booksellers, authors and book lovers to come together. It was formerly known as Cape Town Book Fair, so the name change comes with a a different focus.
Mpuka Radinku, Executive Director of the Publishers’ Association of South Africa, says under the banner of the South African Book Fair, it will be more inclusive in terms of being accessible to a larger number of participants.
“In line with requests from a number of our stakeholders, PASA believes by re-establishing the Fair as a national one, it will do much to draw increased interest from current participants from a location point of view. In addition, we are targeting increased participation from brand new stakeholders for whom the Fair previously may not have been seen as a beneficial platform,” he comments. 1)http://www.thebereed.co.za/southafricanbookfair/
