We’re announcing the winner for The Short Story is Dead, Long Live the Short Story! Vol 2 at #JBF

Join us at Jozi Book Fair as we announce the long awaited winner of our short story competition – The Short Story is Dead, Long Live the Short Story!

We’ll be reading and discussing stories from the first volume published in 2012 and the upcoming volume of The Short Story is Dead, Long Live the Short Story!

The following stories have been shortlisted:

A Night to Remember by Christine Muller Coates
The Silence of the Morning by Gugu McLaren
Circles by Mapule Mohulatsi
Parallels of Yesterday by Thato Magano
Wam Bam Man by Adaobi Nwankwo
For My Brother by Nkosithandile Peme
Men are Fools by Obinna Udenwe

The winner stands to win R5000 and two runner-up R1000 each.

The shortlist was judged by Lineo Segoete, Dilman Dila and Makhosazana Xaba with Duduzile Mabaso picking the winner.
